With full understanding on the importance of maintaining excellent quality of works, Mr. Wong introduced ISO 9000 quality assurance program and re-engineered the operation system of the entire Group in 1993.
Concurrently, Mr. Wong had served as Project Director for three Core Programme Projects of the Hong Kong International Airport : the Air Mail Centre (1996-98), the Airport Control Tower (1994-97) and Cheung Sha Wan Wholesale Market Phase 1 (1992-93).
Mr. Wong had proactively implemented the semi-precast construction system. The construction cycle for a public housing project was speed-up from 8-day [for constructing 1 floor] (Shek Yam Estate Ph.1, 1986) to 6-day (Choi Fung Court, 1996) and further to 4 day (Tong Ming Court, 1997), enhanced the standard of quality and better safety. With the guidance of Mr. Wong, the total performance of Yau Lee Construction Co., Ltd has taken a big leap, which also brought the company 2 consecutive years Golden Award for Building Sites (Public Sector) of the Safety Award Scheme for the Construction industry in 2005-2007.
With the outstanding leadership, Mr. Wong won the "Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2002".
