Yau Lee Holdings Limited has been exploring the business of the real estate development in Mainland China early in the 90's. In 1992, its subsidiary Yau Lee Development Company Limited completed the "Fuli Building Development" in Rongqi Town of Shunde. In order to synchronize the development of business diversification, Mr. Wong initiated property development in Hong Kong in 2000 by investing “Express by Holiday Inn” hotel, which opened in 2004. It has achieved a 90% of occupancy rate, bringing the Group significant profit.
To further enhance the housing quality and practicing the factory management concept in construction project, Mr. Wong established "Yau Lee Wah Concrete Precast Products Co., Ltd." in Longhua, Shenzhen in 1997.
Precast elements are produced in factory and transported to construction site for installation. This process re-engineering reduces a lot of in-situ wet-trades and improved the operation efficiency in terms of time and cost.
In 2005, Yau Lee Holdings and Formglas Inc. joined in partnership to build a new factory in Shenzhen, China, namely Yau Lee Formglas (Shenzhen) Limited, ther factory produces gypsum and cement-based products and offers complete turn-key supply and install services in North America, Europe, Japan, Middle East, casinos, as well as hotel development in Macau.
